Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

Dude, I was ordering more of my meds today and I actually bothered to look at what my meds SHOULD cost -- let me tell you, internets, being crazy is fucking expensive. Thank Raptor Jesus for La Famille's health insurance or else I would be...like...negative broke. Seriously. I would have the opposite of money.

In other news, the air conditioner died yesterday evening (as looleebelle already knows because I spent most of last night whining to her about it). I wound up sleeping on top of my sheets in just a bra and shorts with my ceiling fan cranked up to full blast and I still felt godawful. I haven't sweated that much since I had the crazy death flu in my first year of college (and in that case it was because I had a fever of 105ºF). Just one of life's little reminders not to take things for granted, I suppose -- I actually have heard news reports about people without air conditioners here DYING (literally!) in the hotter parts of the summer. Thankfully, the repair guy showed up while I was gone this morning instead of three days later (or some such like what cable repair technicians pull on people).

Finally, I took my chemistry final (ha! See what I did there?) a couple of hours ago and actually...sort of did okay on it. I think. I was studying yesterday (and, again, whining to looleebelle) and was just about ready to commit seppuku by the time I went to sleep but actually? It wasn't that bad.

Of course, it's entirely conceivable that I still flunked it but fuck it, all my other grades in the class are As, it would be literally impossible for me to actually fail this class at this point so Idgaf. Freedom!

Raptor!Jesus only knows, I'm a big fan of spoiling animals. I spoil my cat absolutely rotten -- I probably got the tendency from you actually so really, I get it. However, I think mixing Spaghetti-Os into the dog's dinner (after feeding him the remnants of yours plus various bits and bobs of your snacking during the day) may be overdoing it just a tad.

Now that I think of it, this might at least in part explain why the dog is roughly the size of a small couch. Please to be working on that before we have to roll the dog around the house in a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory sort of scenario?

Generally speaking, it's been a fairly low-key sort of day (much needed, really). I'm still catching up on sleep and de-programming my brain from running on college time, and I even managed to send a civil email to my former adviser (who also happens to be the director of the athletic training program that rejected me -- twice) to find out what the fuck I'm supposed to do now. I'm very proud of myself for resisting the temptation to send a carefully crafted, beautifully vitriolic work of sarcasm.

In internet news, I've made the executive decision that tomorrow is going to be a double feature day (two review posts in one day) -- Devour (as requested by sgrio) and My Bloody Valentine (as chosen on my own). So, basically, it's going to be Jensen Ackles day 'round these parts. Anyone wanna help me come up with a clever name for it? ("Sucky Movie Sunday", "Why Jensen Ackles Why Day", etc.)
