Ugh, internets, have I mentioned recently that being a responsible adult kind of sucks? Starting a new bank account with Wells Fargo turned out to be surprisingly difficult (on account of what turned out to be a broken ATM), then the fiasco with my books, struggling to find a job on campus, and then dealing with our inconsiderate asshole neighbors in the apartment above us. I had to file a noise complaint today!
Let me be clear; I love loud music as much as the next gal, but when your neighbors can clearly distinguish the lyrics and occasionally feel the bass vibrating in their teeth? That's going too far. I hate filing complaints, I really do (ditto re: Le Boyfriend), so the fact that Le Boyfriend and I both felt the need to say something to the R.A. should speak for itself.
I won't even get started on the sickening irony of how difficult it was to get everything sorted for my online Stress Management class. Maybe it's a test or something.
Basically, this is how I feel about humanity at the moment:

Lawd, give me patience, because I might kill someone if you give me strength.
Anyway, here follows a summary of my first two days of class:
Physiology of Exercise Lab (Thurs. 7:00 a.m.-8:50 a.m.) - So far, it appears to be rehashing the basics of my Intro. to Exercise Science class (which I took the first semester of my freshman year). So there's a positive in the minimal-brain-power-required factor, which kind of makes up for the fact that the T.A. who runs it is clearly the most obnoxious kind of morning person. Judging by the course schedule and the lab manual, this guy's also a huge fan of busywork. Joy.
followed by...
Physiology of Exercise Lecture (Tues./Thurs. 11:00 a.m.-12:20 p.m.) - Similar to my Lab, except taught by a man who has to be in his late sixties at the youngest, who thought he could get through the syllabus, 40 years of old student stories, and the names/career aspirations of the 60 people in my class in his allotted 80 minutes (he thought wrong). I sense a rambler, but at least he seemed friendly enough so he's probably not a harsh grader. Also guessing this guy runs the Kinesiology department's internship program, as he waxed poetic about that for quite a bit -- this I didn't object to so much, since it could turn out to be useful later.
And then yesterday...
Sports Nutrition (Mon./Wed./Fri. 10:00 a.m.-10:50 a.m.) - If I'm remembering names correctly, I'm pretty sure the professor for this course is my new advisor, so I watched her carefully. Very friendly (without being obnoxious) and straightforward, and seems like a fair grader as well* Only snag I can see here is that there's probably going to be a lot of memorization, and there's a "dietary analysis" due at the end of the semester. I sense lying through my teeth about my eating habits ahead...
* - I'm paranoid about harsh graders after my crazy she-bitch of a U.S. History After 1867 professor
I know that doesn't sound like a lot of classes, but there's also the Spanish Level I and Stress Management classes that I have online (which have their own headaches, let me tell you).
Life has been such a pain lately that it's even thrown me off my schedule of things I planned to post here. I hate how hectic things get at the start of a new semester *headscreen* I hope it all smoothes out sooner rather than later so that I can get back to being funny and light-hearted and stuff :-\
How goes school (either college or otherwise) for everyone else out there? I read y'all's posts but if anyone's looking for a partner in headache-dom, feel free to vent here.
