As promised, I'm dumping off some of my more recent gifs and/or macros for y'all to pick through and add to your collections as you see fit. They're grouped loosely by category in an organizational fashion that probably only makes sense to me, but hey, it's better than nothing.

Horrified/Nope/Abandon thread/etc. )

Random/wacky )

Angry/bitch please/look at all the fucks I give/etc. )

Sad/crying/#feelingz )

Unf/assorted expressions of want )

Happy/laughing )

Popcorning/I regret nothing/applause/etc. )

Man candy )

If you're looking for a particular gif or desired purpose of gif, let me know and I'll see if I can dig it up. Enjoy!

Assorted friends/acquaintances through life: Hey, Allie, how come you never go out in shorts? Doesn't it get hot wearing jeans all the time?
[Later, when I wear shorts to humor them even though I know what's coming…]
Same friends/acquaintances: Wow, your legs are really pale! *gawking, staring, generally freaking out like they don't know I'm basically a cave creature*
Me: Wow, you just answered your own question(s)
Photobucket

And then some time passes, people forget, and it starts over again. Repeat ad nauseum. Am I the only person who has to deal with this, or is it just a #gingerproblems sort of thing?

In other news, I checked after uploading my most recent batch of gifs and it turns out I now have 925 gifs/macros, so I'm probably going to do a gif swap post pretty soon. It lets me delude myself into thinking that I'm being productive when I have, in actuality, done next to nothing recently but fuck around in one form or another. I mean sure, RL periodically forces me into brief bouts of responsibility still (errands, packing/moving, etc.), but in terms of average productivity? I got nothin'. The worst part? The neurotic overachiever in me still feels horribly guilty about this for some reason.

So, for the Sons of Anarchy fans out there, a girl I went to high school with (but never spoke to all that much) went into acting after she graduated and recently landed an upcoming role on the show. She posted this on her Facebook today:

"wardrobe: "do you have any tattoos? we might need to cover for tomorrow?"
me: "two very small ones on my wrist."
wardrobe: "oh the shackles might cover that."

...stay tuned"

…I have so many questions. So many, many questions.

I just heard a deeply troubling rumor that Footface Robert Pattinson is being considered to play Finnick Odair in Catching Fire. This is how that news makes me feel inside:

Someone PLEASE give me proof this isn't true, otherwise I may be forced to go on a killing spree after which no jury in the land would convict me.

Internets, because I'm bored as hell and have been having a pretty strenuous last week and a half, have another mancandy post.

In other news, I finally caved and watched The Borgias…and promptly proceeded to marathon every episode I could get my hands on. For some reason, the fact that I kept seeing Scar every time Jeremy Irons spoke just made it that much more epic. It's basically the bastard love child of Assassin's Creed and Sexy Tudors, but I LOVE EET.

Also, I hear Stark college pics have been surfacing on Tumblr. Cue inner conflict between the part of me that's embarrassed for the internet's stalkerish tendencies and the part of me that's morbidly curious. Has anyone seen them? Anything lulzy? Or is it all just kind of creepy and depressing?

So I was watching this promo of NYC 22 (that we've all probably seen at least once already)  )

I have to confess, y'all, the part where Stark goes "It's drive time or overtime *busts out handcuffs* and I could use the money" left me almost totally paralyzed from the sheer volume of simultaneous dirty thoughts. I'd say that he's welcome to bust out the handcuffs and loom at me whenever he wants, but let's be real, this would probably be my reaction:

I would be the worst criminal ever (possibly deliberately) in that universe -- and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. Just sayin'.

So Le Boyfriend is at the DMV since his license expires on his birthday (which is in two days) and I just thought I'd post this little text exchange we had so y'all have some idea of what I live with:

Le Boyfriend: At what point does boredom become murderous psychosis?
Me: Usually right around when you start visualizing how many people you could kill before someone finally took you down. Wouldn't recommend a killing spree though, DMV has state troopers and state troopers have guns
[…]
Le Boyfriend: The key to an effective and efficient murder spree is proper planning. Aim for the troopers first

….The sad thing is this is actually fairly normal as our conversations go.

Photobucket

That being said, have this pic looleebelle sent me of Stark looking all of 16 years old )

Finally, just because I'm a huge movie nerd (and a closet English nerd), have this hilarious video Le Sibling sent me: Pulp Shakespeare (YOU KNOW YOU'RE CURIOUS) )

Holy shiny metallic mother of God I'm so tired

Photobucket

Le Boyfriend tells me we managed to have an entire conversation (that made zero sense) last night while I was basically half-conscious -- I don't remember any of this and am distinctly paranoid about what I might have said…

Anyway, I haven't updated recently because I've been kept so busy that I just didn't have the time or the energy. That being said, let's talk movies!

Things I've seen recently:

Chronicle (I was disappoint as a GK fangirl to see Patterson being the abusive asshole dad in this *sigh*)
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance (So cracktastic and insane that I refuse to acknowledge it as a Ghost Rider movie)

Things I want to see:

Safe House (Denzelllll <3)
Act of Valor (LIKE BURNING)
The Hunger Games (AGAIN, LIKE BURNING)
The Dark Knight Rises
The Avengers (Because I want to mash Jeremy Renner and Chris Hemsworth together like Barbie dolls)

Which reminds me! Have a humorous video about Marvel movies that my coworker showed me the other day )

Meanwhile, back on topic…

Things I kind of want to see:

This Means War (I'm willing to suffer through what Reese Witherspoon considers acting if it means I get Chris Pine and Tom Hardy pulling each other's pigtails snarking at each other in the same movie)
The Secret World of Arrietty
Wanderlust

It's gonna be a good year to go to the movies, y'all.

P.S. - I'm going to be very upset if Hugo doesn't win anything at the Oscars #justsayin

P.P.S. - I made a B on my first Therapeutic Modalities/Rehab test (which I barely studied for) \o/ Not bad considering I know for a fact that the professor actively dislikes me (she's part of the university athletic training program that rejected me...twice).

H'OKAY, internets, for those of you who haven't seen it yet (or can't due to country restrictions, blah blah blah), I took some screen caps of this NYC 22 featurette video...thingy

Cut to prevent autoplay )

[livejournal.com profile] looleebelle was ranting about how she couldn't see it, so I very nicely capped certain *ahem* pertinent sections for her -- and for y'all!

Complete with my usual flaily/capslocky commentary (liquid warning, obviously) )

I tried to get the least derpy shots of Stark that I possibly could but, amusingly, wound up getting amazingly derpy shots of everyone else in the process.

I'm theoretically supposed to be studying for a quiz I have tomorrow, but...

So, um, internets...so that I can stop fretting about y'all, would anybody who lives and/or is currently visiting the London area please give me some sort of sign that you're okay (or, at least, alive)? I still don't quite get what's going on beyond the fact that there are riots happening and that just leaves me twice as worried about all parties involved.

Seriously though, even a quick "*waves*" comment or something, I love y'all to bits and hope everyone's staying safe.

So, internets, I was looking through my local newspaper this morning and I found something that just about made me choke on my drink. The website for my local paper didn't have the article, but I managed to find an ABCnews article covering the same thing.

Texas Nonprofit Gives Scholarships to White Males

Highlights include:

"When Colby Bohannan was looking for college financial aid nine years ago, he concluded that he was at a disadvantage because of his race...."In the landscape of the scholarship foundations in this country, there is just one demographic that does not have a single dedicated scholarship," he told ABCNews.com. And that demographic, said Bohannan, is white males..."

and

"...Bohannan launched the Former Majority Association for Equality, a nonprofit organization that takes its name from the fact that according to U.S. census numbers, non-Hispanic whites make up only 45 percent of the Texas state population..."

and

"..."Trying to afford an education is not easy," said Bohannan, 28. "Just because you're white and male doesn't mean you have a bunch of money lying around to pay for books and rent."..."

In other words: "Oh, won't someone PLEASE think of the white men?!"

Photobucket

And people here wonder why the rest of the world mocks the shit out of us. Idiots like this are why I despair of the world sometimes.

So...um...remember that Tunny/Will/EG costume fic I've been wittering on about for the last few weeks at least?

I sort of finished it last night. Final wordcount is 30,187 and all that remains now is some last minute fine-tuning and then I can finally post this beast.

Photobucket

I AM EXCITE. Also, ILU, [livejournal.com profile] looleebelle, FOR KICKING MY ASS INTO FINISHING THIS. Now I can get back to the GK/AI crossover with undivided concentration *glee*

Anyway, on that note, have a silly Idiot picture just because it pleases me )

Okay, someone needs to PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS SHIT TO ME RIGHT NOW BECAUSE I'M FREAKING THE FUCK OUT.

Photobucket
OhGodohGodohGodohGod

So yeah, just to re-iterate; I'm begging y'all, please never EVER send any Starsgard I write to ANY of the GK cast. Ever.

Brb, nursing an ulcer.

In other news, I went to write some more Tunny/Will/Extraordinary Girl fic (which is now at 27,000ish words...) and wound up writing a really sappy Tunny/EG scene for the GK/AI crossover instead *facepalm* I hate my brain sometimes.

I had more I was going to say, but I got sidetracked by the whole thing where an anon meme succeeded in turning me into a nervous wreck.

THING THE FIRST (relevant to the title actually): I introduced [livejournal.com profile] looleebelle To Michael Esper's Twitter the other night. Hilarity ensued when she got the full picture of just how delightfully insane he is, lol (you thought I was joking about the ten tweets in eight minutes thing!) He's worth following if you're not a) neurotic and shy like me and/or b) opposed to a really startling amount of A.D.H.D.

THING THE SECOND: Videos (aka Two New Reasons emerald_skies Hearts Justin Timberlake) )

THING THE THIRD: Les Neighbors and I are still working on catching the feral mama cat and kittens, but I did manage to get a few pictures of them recently!

Here thar be kittehs! )

And now back to working on the T/W/EG fic before certain people come back and beat me for not getting more done on it *gulps*

Blah, Le Boyfriend and I are going to spend this weekend apartment hunting up in universityland. I'm not excited about it, mostly because I'll be bored out of my skull but also on account of how it'll involve me pretending to be an adult. I hate pretending to be an adult *pouts*

In other (less whiny) news, I found out some interesting aspects to the NFL player lockout that's been going on recently. Initially, I thought the whole problem boiled down to two things... )

Of course, this probably only matters to football nerds and sports medicine wonks like myself, so why don't I just keep going with the thirty day writing meme instead?

Day Twenty-Eight: Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether writing together, or having an artist work on a piece about your fic?

Ahahaha, oh, most definitely. I got started writing fic again through teaming up with [livejournal.com profile] abrokencompass to write Starsgard fic, and then I more recently got into writing alongside [livejournal.com profile] mcl4r3n -- which has been fantastic, considering how we hammered out the Batfic AND are close to finishing the Starsgard vampire AU. I love collaborations :D I have yet to write something that included getting art done though (see my earlier response about never having done a big bang), I've always wanted art for something I was writing but am too timid to ask anyone -_-

P.S. - In the course of her helping me out with my Tunny/Will/EG fic, I think I succeeded in getting [livejournal.com profile] looleebelle hooked on the Idiot fandom even though she's never seen the show. I believe a "like a boss" is appropriate at this juncture *g*

So, I finally succeeded in unfucking my Twitter -- in other words, I can now follow y'all back and whatnot. I basically feel like this right now:

Photobucket

That being said, feel free to follow me (just tell me who you are so I don't have a paranoid freak out) and/or rec me various pages to follow (since the "People to follow" thing keeps giving me an error page). May as well fully embrace the addict lifestyle, yeah?

Cheers.
